Our story
Intraneuron was founded by Dr. Gregory Sahagian and Vidar Vignisson in 2013. Our professional experience and family experience with neurocognitive disorders motivated us to create Intraneuron. We share a belief that we can improve the lives of people who suffer from neurocognitive disorders through innovative use of digital technology.
We have assembled a world class team that recognizes the importance of early detection and intervention for cognitive and neurological disorders. Our team includes neurologists, neuropsychologists and technical professionals.
Memory Exam was developed with our neurologists and clinical neuropsychologists at The Neurology Center of Southern California, and the technology is protected by United States patents 11,547,345 and 12,226,221.

What we've built
Memory Exam is our at-home cognitive screening test, taken by voice, that anyone can buy directly online. We also created at workflow software that community neurology practices use to deliver structured dementia care, including the CMS GUIDE model.

Our track record
Gregory Sahagian, M.D. has cared for neurological patients in San Diego for more than twenty-five years and is triple board-certified in neurology, neuromuscular medicine and electrodiagnostic medicine. He is Medical Director of Neurosciences for Scripps Health and has published in JAMA, the New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet Neurology and Neurology.
Vidar Vignisson joined Qualcomm before the company went public and spent ten years there. He went on to co-found KidZui and to serve as chief technology officer of Infogate. Vidar holds eight patents.
Research and intellectual property
Memory Exam has been evaluated against standard neuropsychological assessment in three peer-reviewed publications, in Archives of Clinical Neuropsychology, Neurology and Alzheimer's & Dementia, and our work implementing the CMS GUIDE dementia care model was published in Neurology in 2026.
We hold United States patents 11,547,345 and 12,226,221, with further patents pending.
We also run a normative study establishing reference scores across age, sex and education, registered with ClinicalTrials.gov. To participate, volunteer here.
